Ouroboros or What’s Eating Your, 2016, 3d animation loop, sound

During my residency at Künstlerhaus Bethanien in Berlin, I worked on a series of large-scale charcoal drawings. The project Totalitarian is dealing with memory and its storage both in our bodies and on technological devices. Enlarged hard drives remind one of mausoleums or libraries. These ‘buildings’ are graveyards of data, which will probably, but not surely, remain for future generations. In Totalitarian I am juxtaposing these types of storage with a human body, which accumulates and processes information in heart, brain and liver.
